The Milano EXPO underpasses next to Certosa Station are undoubtedly the most ambitious project of box jacking and temporary bridges carried out in Italy in the past 10 years.

Some data relating the construction field demonstrate its importance and complexity: two underpasses of 9.75 x 7.95m outer section and 98.85 m length for a total of more than 7000 tons each, ten tracks, five standard tracks and five turnovers to pass under two times, more than 1200 trains a day on the Milano – Varese, Milano – Novara and High Speed Milano – Torino railway lines and on the Fiorenza and Certosa rail yards, active construction site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Location site: Certosa station, less than one kilometer away from the Rho Fiera metro station, for the arrival of the EXPO visitors.
